I entered this painting for The Community Foundation of West GA. art show. They raise money for various charities around the West GA area. The theme was "community".  My bird feeder was the inspiration for my entry.  All kinds of birds visit the feeder and I feed them all.  My community is very instrumental in feeding the hungry (flock).  I won Honorable Mention for this painting.

The Yellow Finch is one of my favorite birds here in Georgia.  The contrast of the yellow feathers with the black is very appealing to the eye.  When I put out a sock of thistle seed, they flock to it!  Watching the feeder inspired me to paint one of these beautiful birds.  This acrylic painting is done on a 6x6 wrapped canvas.

Can you believe that you aren't looking at a floral painting?  Ha! Ha!  I took a change of pace with this farm scene.  Enjoy because there may not be many of these.

This is a mixed media piece of art.  I used paper and acrylic paint.  I plan to do more mixed media with different objects that I have collected.  I look forward to the "designing" process. Hope you like it and I welcome your comments.

While in Minnesota a few years back,  my husband and I discovered a tiny little nest hidden in the tall grass.  I was amazed at how many eggs were in it.  This painting is one of several from that memorable trip.

This painting was a delight to paint.  Tulips are a favorite in my garden. The table cloth was especially fun as I layered color after color building texture.  Hope you like it!
