THE ROUND TABLE by Charlsie Sprewell cfspre@bellsouth.net

THE ROUND TABLE

This painting is another study on painting clear glass.  It can be tricky creating the illusion, but a lot of fun trying!

THE CENTERPIECE by Charlsie Sprewell cfspre@bellsouth.net

THE CENTERPIECE

Another palette knife painting consisting of small strokes to the wild long strokes.  Can you see the crackle finish in the vase?  I would appreciate your thoughts.

BIRD IN THE BRUSH by Charlsie Sprewell cfspre@bellsouth.net

BIRD IN THE BRUSH

This painting was a lot of fun to compose. It is a combination of mixed media and collage.  First I covered my canvas with modeling paste for texture.  Next, I painted with green and gold tones.  I then made a copy of a bird I had previously painted and attached it.  Paint was applied over the bird to brighten it up.  Raffia and faux reeds were the last items added.  I have never done anything like this before and I am sure I will do it again.  Do you like it?

Number 18 by Charlsie Sprewell www.charlsiesprewellartist.com

NUMBER 18

Number 18 was a lot of fun to paint.  I guess my favorite cow is the Holstein.  I really like their black and white spots and how they vary on each cow.
